Backyard Fighter - Flash Game

Summary

One of my specialties is Flash. When most people hear that name they think of time-consuming animations that get in your way on a website. However, the usefulness of Flash is limited only by the imagination of those using it. I decided to just have fun with it, creating my own interactive game. It allows you to choose from four different characters who defend the backyard against nasty wild animals. The more you play, the more options you have and it doesn't take long to master the game. Be forewarned, if you're careless with the characters, the game remembers and just closing the browser won't help! Give it a try.

Challenge

Create an interactive game that utilized a large portion of my Flash skills and helped practice new ones.

Solutions

Over 600 lines of code and multiple illustrations after I started this project, my first interactive game was launched. Admittedly, this isn't something that will make Blizzard Entertainment (makers of incredibly popular World of Warcraft) lose sleep but it did get picked up by a several gaming sites, sending tens of thousands of players to have a little fun.
